From aerial photographs, this sub-circular enclosure could possibly be an early ecclesiastical enclosure. It would appear to measure c 396m N-S and c 330m E-W. However, no documentary evidence or local tradition attest to a monastic site being sited here. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
