What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland, where the earth still holds the shape of a ring. It belongs to the old world of legend, when borders between human and fairy life grew thin at dusk. The name itself points inward, as if the place were marked for someone who already knew it.
