Indicated

At the W end of an NW-SE ridge in the flood-plain of a N-S section of the River Suck which is c. 120m to the W. A flat-topped, grass-covered earthen bank (L c. 130m; Wth of base 8m; Wth of top 2.5m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1.6m) and an external rounded fosse (Wth of top 8m; Wth of base 2-3m; D 0.6m) running roughly NE-SW cuts off the W end of the peninsula (int. dim c. 120m NW-SE). The bank and fosse are degraded at the NE end and there is a wide entrance (Wth c. 8m) at the centre, probably widened by quarrying and the fosse is not visible at the centre (L c. 50m).
