Indicated

Situated at a break in a marked E-facing slope. Circular area (dims. 46m N-S; 47.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.3-5.8m; int. H 1.2-1.8m; ext. H 1-3.5m). The presence of an external fosse is indicated at the S by a shallow curving depression (Wth 2-2.5m) c. 7m outside the edge of the bank. At the E a farm track is set on a berm (Wth 4m) which may overlie a fosse. There are two gaps, one at the E (Wth 4.5m) and another at the SE (Wth 4.5m), either of which may represent the location of an entrance; there is a third modern gap at the NE. The interior of the site has been levelled in recent years; this was apparently achieved by spreading material over the interior rather than by disturbing the surface of the site.
