What is recorded here
In pastureland. About twelve small circular enclosures (ranging from 10-15m in size) are shown on the 1922 edition of the OS 6-inch map to the N and S of the avenue leading to Coole House (GA122-052----). A conifer tree was depicted in each enclosure. On inspection in April 1992 almost all of them had been cleared away. They were all probably ornamental features associated with Coole House.
