Man-made underground passage in Castletown (kiltartan By.) — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Kiltartan Bay, County Galway. A narrow hollow cuts through the earth inside an ancient rath, measuring fourteen point six metres long and five point five metres wide. People may have dug the passage to keep goods dry, hide during storms or reach another part of the settlement without crossing open ground.

Within the SW quadrant of a rath (GA123-030001-). A linear hollow (L 14.6m; Wth 5.5m; D 0.7m), aligned NNW-SSE, may be the remains of a possible Man-made underground passage. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 24 November 2017
