In pasture, on N-facing slope, c. 100m S of River Blackwater. Depicted as rectangular enclosure on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Rectangular area (30.5m E-W; 14.7m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) with external fosse (D 1.3m) to E, S and W; scarp (H 1.6m) to N. Bank and interior heavily overgrown. According to Broker (1937, 46), called 'Lios Fada'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
