What is recorded here

Indicated is a vanished circular enclosure on a Mayo ridge, mapped in 1838 but erased from later charts and ground alike. It faced the steep ENE drop, overlooked by a natural hillock, large enough for a person to stand inside but small enough to disappear when stopped being seen. The land kept its shape long after the boundary forgot its name.

In pasture, prominently sited on top of a ridge, at the break of slope on the steeply falling ENE side, with very good views. Overlooked at WSW by a natural hillock-like rise on the ridge top. Shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a small circular enclosure (diam. c. 10-15m); not shown on later map editions. There is no visible trace at ground level.
