What is recorded here

There are no visible remains of the medieval church of Colpe (ME021-012004-) in a rectangular graveyard (dims c. 55m NE-SW; c. 35-40m NW-SE), the perimeter of which at NE and SE forming the townland boundary with Colp East, but all the inscriptions are recorded (Gary 1992-3). In 1981 the head (ME021-012005-) and base (ME021-012006-) of a high cross were identified by Canon Ellison. The head was ultimately moved to the Church of Ireland church at Julianstown (ME028-001003-). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 16 December, 2014
