What is recorded here

Indicated is a crannog in Clooncoose (ballintober North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It stands 50 metres from the northern shore of triangular Toomore Lough as a circular island 18.5 metres across and 1.2 metres high. Stones, timber and earth build the overgrown structure, while vertical posts and horizontal timbers remain visible beneath the water along its eastern and western edges. Two quernstone fragments lie at the centre, and another crannog sits 30 metres to the east.

Situated c. 50m from the N shore of triangular Toomore Lough (dims. c. 300m N-S; c. 120m E-W at S; c. 250m E-W at N). Circular overgrown island (diam. 18.5m; H 1.2m) consisting of stones, timber and earth, with vertical posts visible under the water at the perimeter ESE-NWW together with some horizontal timbers.
