On a low knoll. Oval scrub-covered area (dims 39m N-S; 31m E-W) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; int. H 0.3-1m; ext. H 0.6-1.4m) and hedge, with an outer fosse (Wth of base 2.5-3m; D 0.2-0.5m) SW-NNW. There is no visible entrance. Rath (RO017-050----) is c. 130m to the WSW, and cashel (RO017-056----) is c. 190m to the ENE.
