Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, Ireland, occupying a slightly raised oval on a ridge that overlookes flat bog and reclaimed pasture. Its earthen scarp rises one and a half metres at the northeast edge, while hawthorn and gorse still ring the perimeter like a boundary drawn for something that does not want to be measured. A tractor track skirts the east side, following a shallow dip that may mark an old outer fosse, and a low stony rise hides beneath gorse and bramble to the south of centre. The place keeps its shape in pasture and overgrowth, inviting wonder rather than explanation.

In pasture, at the S end of the townland, located on top of a NNW-SSE ridge, overlooking flat expanses of bog and reclaimed pasture. Part of the ridge has been quarried away c. 100m to NW. Slightly raised oval area (28m E-W; 22m N-S to field fence) defined SW−SE by an earthen scarp (H 0.8m at W; 1.5m at NE) and at SSE−SSW by a field fence with associated field drain. The field fence appears to have truncated the original S perimeter of the rath; it is thickly covered in overgrowth and it is not possible to determine if it might incorporate part of an original enclosing bank or scarp. The interior is level and grassy, except in SE quadrant where ground slopes to S and is covered by spreading clumps of gorse and brambles. A low stony rise of unknown significance can be glimpsed –but not closely examined - beneath this overgrowth to S of centre. A tractor track skirts the E side of the enclosure, following a slight dip or terrace in ground level. This dip may indicate the line of an external fosse.
