What is recorded here

Indicated is a subcircular fairy fort on a grassy rise within the former Clonbrock estate, its forty-eight-metre bank still drawing a clear line against the field. The external fosse survives at the west and north, suggesting the earth was dug and stacked with purpose rather than left to chance. Such a large ring on an open rise may have marked a dwelling, a boundary or a warning, yet no named life remains behind the grass. The fort still occupies the landscape, waiting for a witness willing to stand inside its circle and remember what the shape excluded.
