Indicated is a graveyard at the crest of Tara hill, where a sheela-na-gig carves the taller stone of a pair. The rectangular plot, defined by banks and masonry walls, holds the parish church and this glaring figure. It is not a quiet place for reflection. It is a place that stares back, unblinking, while the living arrange their grief around it.

Located at the crest of the E-facing slope of Tara hill. The parish church of Tara (ME031-033071-) is within a rectangular graveyard (dims c. 75m N-S; c. 70m E-W) defined by a low earthen bank at N and traces of one on the other sides, which is retained externally by masonry walls.
