Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrowreagh (knox), County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies pasture on a gentle northwest-facing ridge slope. A roughly circular earthen bank and scarp define the site, although field boundaries truncate parts of the enclosure and numerous gaps remain visible in the bank.

In pasture, on a gentle NW-facing slope of a ridge. A roughly circular area (35.5m N-S; 37m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.1m) NE-E, by a scarp (H 0.7m) for short distance at S and from SW-NE. The enclosing element E-SSE and SSW-SW is incorporated into or truncated by field boundaries on a NE-SW and a NW-SE axis, respectively. There are numerous gaps in the bank. The N portion of the interior is raised to compensate for the hillslope, however, the interior retains a gentle slope down to NW.
