Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrownaglearagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area sits at the W end of a low E-W drumlin ridge and measures 26.3m E-W by 25.4m N-S. An earthen bank surrounds the N-SE, while a scarp appears elsewhere because no visible fosse or entrance remains. Another rath stands about 20m to the SE.
At the W end of a low E-W drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 26.3m E-W; 25.4m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 6.3m at E to 8.2m at N; int. H 0.4-0.7m; ext. H 0.3m at E to 1.1m at N) N-SE which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.5m at S to 0.9m at W) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Rath (RO017-127001-) is c. 20m to the SE.
