Indicated

On a level terrace, on a steep S-facing slope broken by rock outcrops and engulfed in a dense hazel and blackthorn wood. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m). A subcircular area (diam. c. 20m) is now defined N-E by a collapsed wall and SE-S by a roughly constructed drystone wall (Wth 0.5m; H 0.5-0.7m) similar to field boundary walls in the vicinity. The collapsed wall survives as a broad low jumble of stones (Wth 2-2.5m; H 0.5m). The wall SE-S coincides with the break of slope at the edge of the terrace. The W half of the enclosure could not be inspected due to impenetrable overgrowth.
