Bealalaboga BridgeBridge · 739 yd

Explorer Tom Bealalaboga Bridge in Ballykeating is made of dressed limestone with cutwaters, which sounds like a rock band but isn’t quite as loud. The local craftsmen really showed off their technical achievements here. Bring someone who likes architecture or just likes standing on bridges and swaying.

Stannard's GroveDemesne walls/gates/railings · 795 yd

Explorer Tom Stannard's Grove in Carrigdownane Lower is feuding with the next village because they borrowed a stone and never gave it back. The gateway has an inscription from 1842 that’s basically saying 'we were here first'. Kiss the ironwork for luck!

Ring-ditch in BallyleganRing-ditch · 1398 yd

Explorer Tom Ring-ditch in Ballylegan, County Cork is a fifty-metre ghost circle seen only on old aerial photos. It shares a field with another enclosure, making it feel like a social butterfly. Spot that cropmark ring if you get lucky!

Flat cemetery in Ballyenahan NorthFlat cemetery · 1.8 mi

Graveyard in BoherashGraveyard · 2.2 mi

Explorer Tom Graveyard in Boherash has been burying folks since 1724, which means it’s seen more fashion disasters than a Paris runway. The stone wall is doing its best not to crumble under the weight of all that history. Stick around for the light changing, it's a show.

St Dominick's WellSpring · 2.2 mi

Explorer Tom St Dominick's Well has a tall tale about a hidden tunnel that leads directly to the back room of the local pub. It’s probably just a sewer, but it loves telling people otherwise, if it rains, blame me and not the well for getting you all soggy on your way through the shortcut.

Glanworth Castle (in Ruins)Castle, Anglo-Norman masonry castle · 2.3 mi

Explorer Tom Glanworth Castle in Boherash has a bad poem about it that rhymes 'defence' with 'fence', which is tragic because it actually sits on a promontory overlooking the River Funshion and looks rather impressive doing it. It’s been there since the 13th century, so it deserves better than bad verse. A

Glanworth CastleCastle · 2.3 mi

Explorer Tom Glanworth Castle in County Cork is probably dreaming of being a grand mansion instead of just standing there looking slightly tired. It might have a hidden cellar full of old letters and gossip. Peek inside.

Anne's Grove GardensHeritage attraction · 3.2 mi

Explorer Tom Anne's Grove Gardens in County Cork has local sheep who firmly believe they are the actual gardeners and everything else is just decoration for their lunch breaks. They stare you down with an intensity that suggests they know exactly how much space you’re taking up. Sit on a wall near it and pretend you're in a painting.

Grave YardGraveyard · 3.5 mi

Explorer Tom Marshalstown’s graveyard has ruins of two churches, which suggests someone got a bit carried away with the whole building things thing all those years ago. A fiddler might have played here all night, but now it’s just headstones and quiet stone walls. Take the long way round, it deserves the effort.

Horse Field WoodForest · 4.0 mi

Explorer Tom Horse Field Wood is training for the county fair and thinks it can outrun the tractor class. The horses are all retired and just want a nap in the shade. Have a wander and a wonder at their lazy glory.

CarrigeenamronetyMountain / peak · 6.1 mi

Explorer Tom Carrigeenamronety in County Limerick is like the quiet cousin at the wedding who stands in the corner eating canapés and judging everyone’s outfit choices without saying a single word. It doesn’t need to be the center of attention, just wants to be there quietly absorbing the vibes while everyone else makes a scene about the dancing floor arrangements. Have a l
