What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cork, an oval ring of earth and stone set on a SE-facing slope. Its bank rises half a metre on one side and nearly a metre and a half on the other, with large stones still visible along parts of the edge. The ground inside slopes gently downward, and bare rock breaks through the soil in the northern half. Cattle may still graze around it, unaware that the ring marks a place older than memory.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Oval area (44.8m E-W; 35.7m N-S) defined by earthen bank (H 0.8m) SSW->ENE; scarp (H 1.4m) elsewhere. Bank and scarp stone-faced in parts with large stones and boulders. Interior slopes gently down to SE; rock outcropping in N half.
