What is recorded here

Indicated is a grass-covered stone ringfort on a southeast-facing slope in County Leitrim, overlooking a small stream that bends into Lough Gill. Its circular boundary measures about thirty metres across, marked by a low stone spread and hedge rather than a tall wall. The site sits where human life and water met, suggesting a place of settlement, watchfulness or ritual beside the lake.

Located on a SE-facing slope, overlooking the point c. 70m to the SE where a small E-W stream turns SE before entering a bay at the E end of Lough Gill c. 400m to the SSE. This is a grass-covered circular area (int. diam. 32m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by a stone spread (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.6m) and hedge, which is reduced to a scarp at SE. There are slight traces of a fosse at SE and S, but an original entrance is not identified.
