What is recorded here
On S-facing slope of a low ridge. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1932) as an oval enclosure (40m by c. 30m). The monument is now impenetrable due to dense blackthorn and briar growth, but a short length of cashel-like walling can be seen in S sector.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
