What is recorded here

A curving field bank (C c. 50m ) SW-W-NE marked on the 1839 and 1924 eds of the OS 6-inch map suggests the presence of an enclosure located on a SW-facing slope. The cropmark of a bivallate enclosure (max. ext. diam. c. 70m) is visible on aerial photographs (MM (17) 18-19) and visible as a vegeatation change of an earthen bank on Google Earth (2011; 14/07/2018). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 22 May, 2012
