Indicated is a subrectangular cashel on a gentle south-facing slope in County Clare, marked on maps since 1897 and still holding its shape beneath hazel and rough pasture. Its outer wall rises nearly three metres from large stones, battered and seamless except for one vertical line at the centre of the south side. Inside the west, a man-made passage descends into darkness, while house foundations mark the southwest corner. The fort does not much resemble a fortress, but a room built by someone who understood pressure, shadow and the patience of stone.

On a gentle S-facing slope in hazel, bushes and rough pasture within a broad semi-karst plateau. Indicated on the 1897 25-inch plan and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This subrectangular cashel (46.5m E-W; 38.6m N-S) is defined by a stone spread (Wth 5.5-6.5m; H. 0.6-1m) on the outer edge of which a wall (Wth c. 1.2m; ext. H 1-c. 2.9m) of large stones (L c. 1.2m; H 0.3m) has been built. The wall face is battered (Bowmer 2019, 64, 67, 69) and there is a vertical construction seam at the centre of the S side. In the W interior there is a Man-made underground passage (CL009-063002-) and in the SW corner there are house foundations (CL009-063003-).
