What is recorded here

Indicated was a two-walled fairy fort thirty-five metres across, large enough to hold a family, a herdsman or a frightened child when storms broke over Cork pasture. It has been levelled, but the completed circle still turns inside the memory of the field. Perhaps people avoided that ground at dusk, not from fancy but from respect for a shape that refused ordinary use.
