What is recorded here

Indicated is a rectangular fort in County Galway, measuring twenty-three metres north-south and fifteen metres east-west. A low earthen bank still marks its edges, especially along the northern and eastern sides. The surrounding grassland remains level, preserving the shape of a place people once bounded, entered and remembered.
