Marked as a subcircular emban ked enclosure (dims. c. 65m NE-SW; c. 55m NW-SE) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, incorporating the townland boundary with Ballindysert S-NW. Situated at the E edge of a broad plateau with the Aughnabrone S-N river valley to the E. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 55m N-S; 50m E-W) defined by a stone-faced earthen bank (Wth c. 3m) incorporated into a field bank and townland boundary S-NNE, with a slight scarp elsewhere. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
