Ballagh West is a bawn, a fortified enclosure marking human presence in County Galway. The exact shape and age of its walls have not yet been shared, but the name and classification point to a defended or enclosed place. It may have housed families, stored grain or marked a boundary between neighbours. The missing details do not weaken the site; they invite a closer look at the land itself.
