What is recorded here

Indicated is an enclosure in Ardmore (boyle By., Tivannagh Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the summit of a drumlin as a grass-covered rectangle measuring 24m ENE-WSW and 21m NNW-SSE. Field banks at north and east, an earthen bank and deep ditch at west, and a ditch alone at south define its boundary. Rath (RO005-034----) stands 25m to the south.
Visible on aerial photographs (ACAP: V227/25-6), and situated on the summit of a drumlin. Grass-covered rectangular area (dims 24m ENE-WSW; 21m NNW-SSE) defined by field banks at N and E, an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.2-0.3m) and fosse or ditch (Wth of top 3.3-3.5m; D 0.4-0.7m) at W and the ditch alone at S. Rath (RO005-034----) is 25m to the S. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
