What is recorded here
Indicated is a small circular crannog in Disert Lough, County Cavan, sitting about 100m from the shoreline. It is so overgrown that the boundary between made island and wild water has blurred into a single green breath. Someone may have stood there at dusk, reading the lough instead of being read by it.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
