The National Monuments Record of Wales records Ierne as Wreck from the Modern period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The Ierne was a British steamship that sank in 1858 off the coast of Wales after colliding with the French ship *Cygne*. The wreck resulted in the loss of several lives and significant cargo; it is now recognized as a historically important maritime casualty of the 19th century.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
