Gateway, extant 1840, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of part ivy-covered granite ashlar cylindrical piers having stringcourses below shallow domed capping supporting wrought iron double gates with granite ashlar panelled outer piers having corbelled stepped stringcourses below shallow pyramidal capping supporting arrow head-detailed wrought iron railings. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Hydepark House.
