What is recorded here

In the SE sector of an enclosure (KE108-055004-). The remains of an oval hut site (5.1m E-W; 4m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.75m) SE-SW, by upright slabs (H 0.65m; 1.2m x 0.4m) along the W arc, by a boulder (H 1.1m) at NNW and by a stone-faced scarp (H 0.4m) along the N arc. A break at E may mark a possible entrance location. The N portion of the interior is cut (D 0.4m) into the upslope and the S portion is built up (H 0.75m) externally where it is faced with horizontally set slabs. The interior is level. There is another hut site (KE108-055006-) 38m to the SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
