Hut site in Shehy Beg

In rough hill grazing, on bog, on a terrace on the upper S-facing slopes of Shehy Beg. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 1.7m N-S) defined by a jumbled, collapsed, drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.4m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. Another hut site (CO093-078001-) is c. 20m to the SE and an enclosure (CO093-078003) is c. 20m to the W. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
