Hut site in Shehy Beg

In rough hill grazing, on bog, on a terrace on the upper S-facing slopes of Shehy Beg. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 4.3m N-S) defined by a fern-covered stone wall (T 0.65m; H 0.6m) NW-S and elsewhere by intermittent traces of the wall. The entrance (Wth 0.8m) is at the E. The level interior is in pasture. An enclosure (CO093-080002-) is c. 60m to the W. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
