Hut site in Shehy Beg: Tony Miller reported this sub-circular ruin in County Cork on 28th January 2013. It sits south of a rocky ridge, its west entrance framed by two upright slabs and open toward a nearby enclosure. The chamber is about 4m by 4.5m, with one broken wall course still visible above rough mountain grazing. Whoever built it chose a narrow threshold, a broad view and a ridge for a wall, turning exposure into a room.

This hut site was reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland by Tony Miller on 28th January 2013. He describes it as follows: "This sub-circular hut site is immediately south of an extensive rocky ridge and c. 25m south of site 1 (CO093-097----) and is in an area of rough mountain grazing. It measures, internally, c. 4m east-west and c. 4.5m north-south and only a single ruinous course of the walls is visible, c. 0.7m in width. The entrance is to the west and is marked by two radially set upright slabs. It is c. 1.2m in width and opens towards a nearby enclosure. It overlooks a wide expanse of bog and rough grazing to the east." Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 31 January 2013
