What is recorded here
Beneath the ancient ringfort in County Louth, a faint circular shadow suggests a hut eight metres and thirty centimetres across. That small chamber may have stood at the heart of a much larger dwelling, forcing its occupant to breathe close to the walls and listen for every creak of the timber frame. The plastered earth around it has kept the shape intact while the roof and doors vanished, leaving behind a quiet invitation to imagine the warmth, shadow and daily rhythm that once filled the space.
Possible circular hut site (diam. 8.3m) at centre of interior of ringfort (LH006-038001-).
