Poor drainage and rushy pasture mark a clustered settlement on Leahan Mountain, where several drystone huts face the sea and Slieve League. The main site preserves two chambers inside a square wall, large enough for people, stock or tools during harsh weather. Its proximity to other huts suggests repeated human use rather than a temporary shelter.

In poorly drained rushy covered mountain pasture, in small river valley, on the SE facing slope of Leahan Mountain with views of the sea to the S and Slieve League to the W. A square-shaped hut site (ext. dims. 5.4m x 4.4m; wall T 0.9m) defined by a drystone wall with two chambers (int. dims. 2.9m x 2.3m; 2.5m x 2.1m) divided by a low heather covered cross wall. Nearby conjoined drystone hut (DG089-026012-) 30m to the W. Located in an area of a dense concentration of hut sites which appear to make up a clustered settlement (DG089-026001/021).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
