What is recorded here
Two conjoined hut-sites occupy the highest point of a ridge in County Meath, nested inside a larger rath. The eastern chamber measures eight metres across and retains a shallow earthen bank, perhaps marking a doorway at its southeast edge. People may have built these small shelters atop the ridge to watch weather, keep animals, or simply enjoy the widest view the land offered.
Located on the highest point of a NW-SE ridge. In the interior of rath (ME015-041----) are two conjoined hut-sites aligned NNE-SSW. Inside the bank at NE is subcircular grass-covered area (int. diam. 8.2m WNW-ESE; 6.7m NNE-SSW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 2.3m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.35m). It might have an entrance gap at SE. Hut-site (ME015-041002-) is attached to the SSW.
