Lecarrow holds a circular hut margin on Clare Island, marked only by a faint ridge of stones above marshy ground. The site sits beside a visible fulacht fia and a higher settlement hillock, suggesting a small domestic cluster rather than a lonely shelter. People may have cooked at the water’s edge, then retired into the low dome when rain or darkness came. The stones never rise far enough to command attention, but they still draw a line around the place where life moved.

Situated on a flat but marshy patch of ground c. 12m W of the base of a hillock crowned by a settlement area (MA085-066----). A fulacht fia (MA085-005004-) is clearly visible c. 40m to W on the bank of a small stream. The hut site consists of a flat, circular, stone-free area (NE–SW 5.3m, NW–SE 4.2m), marshy underfoot, defined by an intermittent line of stones throughout. None of the stones protrude more than 0.15m above the sward. These stones form an almost imperceptible ridge of drier ground, which is particularly hard to discern on the north-eastern side of the hut. No trace of any definite entrance is discernible.
