What is recorded here

On level platform cut into SSW-facing slope of Slieve Miskish Mountains. Foundation trench (D 0.25m; Wth 0.3m) rectangular house (12m E-W; 3.8m N-S). Three upright stone slabs set in a line at E end N side; a further two slabs set at right angles form SE corner (average H 0.5m). Break in trench at centre of S side is possible entrance. Small rectangular area(3.2m N-S; 3.1m E-W), enclosed by low earthen bank, lies short distance to SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
