What is recorded here

New site identified by John Cronin & Associates (JCA) under Licence No. 16E0127 prior to wind farm development in Knockanruddig, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry by ESB Wind Development Ltd. The remains of a sub-circular hut site, located on a gently-sloping grassy slope overlooking the Roughty tributary stream which divides Coolnagoppoge and Knockanruddig townlands (ITM grid co-ord. 506456, 570935). The hut measures 4.9m (E-W) by 4.4m (N-S) externally, and 3.4m (E-W) by 3.1m (N-S) internally. The rubble stone wall footing is 0.7m-0.8m wide and 0.2m-0.3m high.
