Hut site in Knockanooker Upper,knockanrahan Lower

O'Toole (1943, 25) describes a wooden structure (diam. c. 3m), composed of a circle of upright stakes, with a large flat stone (with traces of charcoal) surrounded by paving at the centre, found in a bog at Knockanooker. Trackways (WI033-027002-) had also been found in the vicinity of the hut site. The precise location of this monument is unknown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
