Clochán Bán: In open mountain terrain on lower S slopes of Mount Eagle/Beennacouma ridge. A roughly circular foundation, 3.5m in diameter, with an entrance at NW opening into a rectangular drystone-built structure, 2 x 1.5m internally, the walls up to .6m high and c. 0.75m wide. Macalister (1899, 264) noted a 3rd circular structure, .9m in diameter, on the N side of the communicating passage. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
