In rough hill pasture, on a level platform on the NE-facing slope of Knockowen Mountain. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.6m) defined by a sod-covered bank (Wth c. 0.7m; H 0.1m) which is cut into the upslope at SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
