Hut site in Dooneen (iveragh By.)

A group of four drystone huts, arranged in a square, on the steep S side of Knocknadobar, in open mountain terrain. (1) KE070-013----; This circular hut is now reduced to a mound of stone collapse. D: 7.5m. H: .8m. (2) KE070-013001-; Immediately S of (KE070-013----) the ruined remains of a rectangular structure with a .9m wide entrance at E flanked by uprights. D: 2.4m x 1.7m. H: .6m. (3) KE070-013002-; 5m E of (KE070-013----) a well-preserved corbelled hut of roughly square plan with an external offset, .2m high. A sheepfold abuts the 1m wide entrance at NW. D: 3.8m x 3.1m. H: 1.6m. T: .8m. (4) KE070-013003-; Immediately S of (KE070-013002-) the ruined foundations of a rectangular structure. D: 3.8m x 2.6m. H: .5m. T: .6m. The above description is derived from A.
