Hut site in Doon (leitrim By.)

Hut site

What is recorded here

Doon is a small townland on the western edge of County Galway, where a shallow valley bends between old farmland and dark water. The land has been lived on for centuries, though little remains visible now except field boundaries, buried walls and the memory of houses lost to time.
Within the centre of the interior of a rath (GA098-093----). A small subcircular grassed-over stony mound may be the remains of a hut site. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 4 March 2019

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
