Hut site in Derryclogher

On a steep fern-covered E-facing slope, on the S bank of a stream. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 8m) defined by a level fern-covered interior which is raised (H 1.2m) along the E arc and cut (H 1m) into the upslope at W to compensate for the hillslope. The external face of the raised E arc is revetted by a collapsing stone wall. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
