Hut site in Derrybanane

In rough hill pasture, in a sheltered hollow surrounded by low hillocks. The remains of a rectangular hut (4.4m NW-SE; 2m NE-SW) defined by a roughly built, drystone wall (T 0.75m; H 0.6m). Large slabs are set upright and end on along the lower course of the wall, externally. Some slabs are leaning or collapsed. There is an entrance (Wth 0.5m) at S. Rubble from the collapsed upper courses is scattered along the perimeter both internally and externally. The hut is obscured by fern growth.
