Hut site in Derreenacahill

In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Coombane Hill and within a field system (KE084-022----). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (1.6m E-W) defined by a grass-covered, collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.4m), which protrudes above the surface of the bog, and by a straight E side (L 2m), which is formed by a relict wall of the field system. Loose stones are scattered around the interior and on the downslope, externally. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
