Hut site in Corraun (kilmaine By.)

Two rectangular huts faced each other across the middle of a rath in Corraun, their low earthen banks still marking rooms where people may have slept, stored grain or simply waited out rain. The northern chamber measured ten metres long and five wide, large enough for several adults to move without brushing one another. The southern chamber answered it like a shadow, suggesting the rath belonged to more than one household or one purpose. No name survives for either room, but the symmetry implies pride: someone built them to match, not merely to fit.
